There’s a reason why the people of planet Earth set resolutions for the beginning of the year… a fresh page on the calendar is great inspiration to break bad habits, get out of a rut, and start clean.  A quick poll around the offices of Shop LA Style show that  fashion is no exception. Everyone has some wardrobe worthy goals and guidelines for the New Year, so we’ve compiled a short list of a few of our favorites, which we’ll share over the next few days.

While I love trendy silhouettes and funky prints just as much as the next fashionista, there’s a lot to be said about the subtle cool of pared down styling.  This year, I vow to rediscover the beauty in simple, functional pieces.  To help keep me cute and classic, I look to C&C California for tees, Ella Moss and Velvet for casual dresses, and Vince for work wear.  J Brand and Three Dots have also done a great job of reminding us that basic is best.
