I’ve been curious about this for a little while, so just for fun, I decided to ask a few of the guys that I know what their favorite part of the female anatomy is. Besides the obvious, less family friendly answers, two parts that continued to be mentioned among the males were the shoulders and arms. I can’t say that I’m surprised, since the shoulders have a sexy, feminine curvaceousness that is undoubtedly alluring. That, coupled with the First Lady, Michelle Obama igniting a nation-wide obsession with great, toned arms, one chic ensemble at a time, makes it all so apparent. So to that, I say, “Bring on the sleeveless!” Slather on the SPF 30 and let those arms and shoulders get a little sun.

Summer’s Triumphant Return

This Sunday, June 21st, will be the longest day of the year and we’ll all be magically transported into the land of summer… and oh, what a wonderful place it is. Though the weather has been lovely for several weeks now, the official change of season gives me permission to go full throttle, and step out of my house completely festooned in brights, crisp whites, and all things strappy and bare. Since the start of the spring season, the Maxi Dress has been in full effect. It’s a breezy, chic style solution that we revisit time and time again and never seem to get tired of . This sophisticated trend has been fueled by many of our favorite fashionistas and has a broad spectrum of interpretation that ranges from earthy-bohemian to seductively glamorous.

As you may already know, I love a busy print, and often my favorite canvas for a bold floral or psychedelic tie-dye is the Maxi Dress. However, honestly and understandably, everyone doesn’t want to walk around looking like they escaped from the wreckage of a Crayola factory explosion. The sleek alternative is the universally flattering monochromatic Maxi Dress. The result is instantly alluring, and provides an amazing palette for bold, of the moment accessories. It’s a smoldering summer look that I’ll be repeating for the many warm days and evenings to come.

Spring has finally sprung, and boy, are we happy! True, so far, it looks as though winter hasn’t quite gotten the memo and keeps on hangin’ around like that ex that just won’t go away. However, it’s only a matter of time before the chill is out of the air and we’re free to step back into our beloved sandals and go sleeveless. Needless to say, right now is the perfect time to refresh our wardrobes by ditching (or better yet, donating) some of our favorite, though worn out everyday styles and snatching up some new pieces.
