This Sunday, June 21st, will be the longest day of the year and we’ll all be magically transported into the land of summer… and oh, what a wonderful place it is. Though the weather has been lovely for several weeks now, the official change of season gives me permission to go full throttle, and step out of my house completely festooned in brights, crisp whites, and all things strappy and bare. I’m honestly the happiest I’ve been since… well, last summer. Here are a few of my most loved (and soon to be most worn) pieces, in honor of summer.
Maybe it’s just me, but winter seemed a little longer than usual. Thankfully, we made it through the gloom and chilly temperatures and now spring is finally in sight. I’m finding it increasingly harder to hide my excitement, so much so that I’ve compiled a list of my favorite spring fashion trends, in anticipation of the longer, warmer days to come!
Favorite Spring Trends II: Hourglass

Let me tell you, there are few things in the world of fashion that I love more than a T shirt. I literally have an entire six drawer dresser full of them, and I’m quickly running out of space. Working in the casual cool Shop LA Style offices doesn’t seem to help my ease the severity of my addiction either. We regularly receive shipments of the best tees that some of the most sought after clothing lines have to offer. Here lately, we’ve noticed that our favorite brands are offering some fresh variations of the classic, well loved tee shirt style. Here are a few of my new favorites:
Velvet Gauzy Whisper Edana - Ballet (available in a variety of colors)
C&C California Pocket Henley – White (also available in Navy)
Three Dots Open Neck Top - Curacao (also available in Iced Cherry)
Ella Moss Ellassentials Smocked V Neck – Lemonade (also available in Black)
Splendid Modal Jersey Silk Trim Tee – Strawberry

While the hot new trends tend to get all the attention in the world of fashion, we’ve noticed that it’s usually the basics that keep us looking our very best. Adventerous colors and prints and innovative silhouettes keep us interested season after season, but comfy tees and figure flattering dresses and jeans can be found at the roots of any great wardrobe. Style icons from the past to the present show us time and time again that there is no expiration date on great style. In honor of that concept, we were inspired to compile a list of our favorite basics.

Velvet Colt Jersey Tank – $48
Velvet Baby Jersey Jaida Long Dress in Inkdrop (dark navy). The maxi dress trend continues and we love this Velvet one for it’s sexy low back and cool twisted straps.
J Brand Heartbreaker Bootcut Jean in Ink. If you like the J Brand Lovestory Jean, you’ll love the Heartbreaker, her slimmer bootcut cousin! This new style is selling out everywhere and we like it best in Ink, J Brand’s original wash.
Ella Moss Elsa Cami in Orchid (also available in White). This super soft cami will take you anywhere from beach to beach bar this Spring and Summer.
Seven For All Mankind Bootcut in Vintage Anguilla. We haven’t seen a rigid (non-stretch) style from Seven in a long time and this one is right on trend with vintage styling and distressing to give your jeans that “well-loved” look.
Gorjana Lucky Charm Starfish Necklace in Silver (also available in Gold). We love the delicate chain and the dainty starfish charm puts us in the mood for Summer!
